The Simple Woman's Daybook #22

FOR TODAY ~ March 3, 2010
Outside my window...

It still looks like winter... I am so so ready for spring but I am thankful for the cold times of year. It really makes the warmer times more special, doesn't it?

I am thinking...

...about going shopping with my Mom tomorrow. I'm in desperate need of clothes and I'm looking forward to spending the day with my sweet Momma!

I am thankful for...
... my conversation and fellowship with my husband. We have something so very special and I thank God for it!

I am praying for...
... my brother and his upcoming surgery, growth in our church, several other unspoken prayer request.

From the learning rooms...
... the boys have accomplished many of thier goals and the week is only half over! I'm glad they will have some time off tomorrow with my Dad while I go shopping! I love the flexibiltiy of homeschool!

From the kitchen...
Sun ~ My hubby took us out for Italian!

Mon ~ baked beans w/ ground beef, Mac & Cheese, and green beans
Tues ~ Crock pot roast with smashed potatoes

Wed ~ Spaghetti
Thurs-Sat ~ undecided

I am wearing...

..my running clothes... fixing to hit the treadmill!

I am creating...
I always have trouble filling in this section (I'm not much of a creative person). Seriously thinking about deleting it... right now I'm creating a post in my blog, lol!

I am going...
to town later today and to the library to return some movies and books.

I am reading...
Ezekiel & Psalms in my Bible and a fictional book, A Rose by the Door

I am hoping...
... for warmer weather (the boys have baseball tryouts this Saturday) and I hope to find exactly what I'm looking for while shopping tomorrow!

I am hearing...
...Jacob sitting close by doing his Literature work, the mail truck that just went by, and Tony's recliner creaking as I sit here typing.

Around the house...

Everything is starting to shape up... still have more to do though!

One of my favorite things...

Chocolate Cobbler.. yum.. maybe one night this week! Jake asked for it last night.

A few plans for the rest of the week...

Church tonight, school, shopping, & some Friday night relaxing time (I hope)!

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

This is my brother, Donnie, that I mentioned in my prayer request above. He didn't recieve the proper medical attention from breaking his foot while in the Marines. The VA is now giving him the medical attention needed! They will be re-breaking his foot along with other needed procedures. He will be off of his foot (completely) for at least 3 months after the surgery to give his foot time to heal properly.
